Maned Wolf - Digestive Tract

The digestive anatomy of the maned wolf is similar to other canids. It is a simple digestive tract, with a small and simple caecum (3). Due to the limited amount of research on these amazing creatures they are often compared to the domestic dog due to their similarities (7). So, as a reference, I have added in the photo of the domestic dogs digestive tract, as it will look very similar to that of the maned wolf considering their relationship and relatively close diets.
